Link to, and the Linked section

Link any output to the work it is about, and find everything linked to a project, goal, customer or budget in one place.

Every output has a Link to button. It opens one dialog where you search for what to link it to, grouped by kind: a project, program, goal, task, customer, deal, income source, budget or meeting. You need to be able to edit what you link to, and to open the output.

The output then shows Used in N places in its header, listing where it is linked.

The Linked section

A project gets a Linked tab. Goals, programs, CRM customers and deals, income sources and budgets get a Linked panel. Each shows a card per linked output, grouped by tool, with its name, owner, when it was last edited and who linked it.

  • Open in Toolbox opens it full-screen; Back returns you to where you were.
  • Download uses the tool's own export: a grid or a table as xlsx, a note as markdown, a signature request as its sealed PDF once it is complete, a document as its original file, and a deck as pptx or pdf. Form responses (csv) and charts (png or svg) are downloaded from inside the form or chart, so their cards offer Open in Toolbox instead. A corkboard has no download.
  • Unlink removes the link only. It never deletes the output, and it needs edit rights on what it is linked to.
  • Link something opens the same dialog the other way round, to pick an output to link here.

The project's own Grids, Tables, Notes and Corkboard tabs keep working. Links made before the Toolbox (a grid linked to a task, a note linked to a card, a pinned chart, a form attached to a customer) appear here too.

What you cannot see

Each card is shown only to people who can open that output. Linked outputs you cannot open are counted ("2 more you cannot open") and never named. A personal output linked into a project is visible there only after its owner shares it, and the Link to dialog says so when you link one.

Note

The Toolbox appears only where it is switched on for your workspace. Where it is off, every tool stays where it was: project tabs, /app/forms, /app/signatures, /app/wiki and /app/documents work exactly as before.
