Capacity & workload
Who is over-allocated, month by month, and where the numbers come from.
The Capacity tab is a planner grid — people down the side, months across the top — showing weighted open load so you can see over-allocation before it becomes a missed date.
Reading it
- Three tiles up top: Open tasks scheduled, Over-allocated members and Busiest month.
- Each cell is a weighted load: High = 3, Medium = 2, Low or none = 1.
- Green is on track, sky is filling up, coral is over capacity.
- Shared tasks are split, not double-counted — a task with two assignees is half the work each, and carries a "shared" chip.
- Click a person's name for everything scheduled for them, or a single cell for just that month. Each row shows the task key, checklist %, priority and due date, and opens the task.
Capacity only sees dated work. If a person looks free, check whether their tasks have due dates — undated work is invisible here by design, because it can't be placed in a month.
There's also an org-wide Workload view at /app/workload for the same picture across every project.
The Capacity tab inside a Noot is available on every plan — it's a base tab. The separate org-wide Workload app is on the Business plan and above, and also needs the *manage members* permission. The same split applies to Timeline: the tab on a Noot is free, the standalone org-wide /app/timeline app is a paid marketplace app.
