The Compliance Audit Logger is append-only where it counts: the database itself refuses UPDATE and DELETE on the event table, so an inconvenient row cannot be edited away by anyone, including an administrator. Export the log as CSV or JSON whenever it is asked for.

No. The database refuses UPDATE and DELETE on the event table, so the log is append-only for every role including administrators. Events are not purged; retention is stated as policy rather than enforced by a job.
