Programs
A group of projects that delivers one thing, with an owner, a priority, combined health and a combined timeline.
A program groups the projects that together deliver one thing - a launch, a migration, a new office. The Programs view lists them; open one to see its owner and owning team, the goals it serves, each project with its health, a combined timeline, the combined workload of the people on it, and the risks and decisions on its projects.
- Create, assign projects, archive. A project belongs to at most one program.
- Priority (high, medium or low, or not stated) tells Autopilot how much weight the program's goals carry when it orders work on its projects.
- Updates. Post a status update on a program the way you do on a goal; the Reviews view can draft one for you to edit first.
Note
A program is a pointer, never a door: linking a private project to a program does not show it to anybody who could not already see it.
