Financial health
One band for the money side of the workspace, built from six areas, each with its reasons, its figures and a trend.
The Financial health panel on the Finances Overview gives the scope you are looking at an overall band (on track, at risk or off track) and a score for six areas. Each area shows what moves it, the figures it rests on, a line of its last 30 or 90 days, and See why, which opens the Finances section that explains it.
- Cash coverage: the income expected in the next 30, 60 and 90 days (payments due and invoices sent) against what you spend in a month at the last 90 days' pace. The weakest of the three decides.
- Budget burn: projects over budget, and projects that will run out of budget before their budget ends at the current pace.
- Margin: revenue minus spending, write-offs and labour over the last 90 days, against the margin threshold in Finance settings. It needs labour cost, so without the billing oversight permission it shows as hidden.
- Receivables: what is owed to you, split by how long it is overdue (not yet due, 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90 and over 90 days).
- Recurring revenue: monthly recurring revenue now against 90 days ago, and how much of it comes from your largest client.
- Spend vs plan: spending in each planned category against its plan, on projects with a spending plan.
Each area is scored from 0 to 100 by fixed rules: 70 and above is on track, 45 to 69 at risk, below 45 off track. The overall score weighs the areas that could be measured (Cash coverage 25%, Budget burn 20%, Margin 20%, Receivables 15%, Recurring revenue 10%, Spend vs plan 10%); an area that is hidden or has nothing to measure says why and is left out, never counted as zero.
The trend is kept once a day for what everyone with finance access can see. It leaves labour cost and private projects out, so it can differ from today's figures for someone who sees more.
Under the overall band, a short explanation says which areas pull it down. On the Business plan it can be written by AI from the same figures; the AI never sees a name or an amount, and the page always shows the figures from the rules.
