Workforce cost

What your people's time costs at their pay rates, by team, division and project. It lives in Finances, under Spend.

Workforce cost shows the hours logged (and the hours planned for the weeks ahead) multiplied by each person's pay rate, never their bill rate. It breaks the cost down by team and division and by project, and compares the period with the one before it.

Open Finances, pick Spend, then Workforce cost above the figures. The scope and period pickers at the top of Finances apply, so you can look at one division or one quarter.

Who sees it

Workforce cost needs the billing oversight permission, and reaching Finances needs finance view. Without billing oversight the view says so and shows no figure. A private project you cannot open is left out of the figures and counted, never named.

Hour limits, timer safeguards and the payroll export sit under the figures, in Hour limits, timer safeguards and payroll export.

Moved from Organization

Workforce cost used to be a view inside Organization → Capacity. Organization now covers what your teams can take on; Finances covers what it costs. Old links to the Capacity cost view and to Hours & pay open the new place.
