Slides: presenting a deck
Slide Show from the start or the current slide, a presenter view in a second window, transitions and animations, a pen and a laser pointer.
Press Slide Show > From beginning (F5) or From current slide (Shift+F5). The show fills the window; in a browser, press F to go full screen as well. Hidden slides are skipped.
| Key | What it does |
|---|---|
| Right arrow, Down, Space, Page Down, N, a click | Next animation step, then the next slide |
| Left arrow, Up, Page Up, Backspace, P, a right click | Back one step |
| Home / End | First / last slide |
| A number, then Enter | Go to that slide (a hidden slide too) |
| B / W | Black or white screen; press again (or any key) to come back |
| I / L / E | Pen, laser pointer, erase this slide's ink |
| Esc | Leave the pen or laser, then end the show |
Presenter view
The toolbar's Presenter view opens a second window with the current slide, the next one, your notes (with bigger and smaller text), a timer you can pause and restart, the clock and every slide. Either window moves the show and the other follows. Drag the audience window to the screen people are watching.
Motion
Transitions (fade, push, wipe, cover) and animations (appear, fade, fly in, zoom, pulse, grow, disappear, fade out, fly out) play as they were set on the Transitions and Animations tabs. If your device asks for reduced motion, the show turns every movement off and simply shows each step.
Presenting in a Noots call
Share the Slide Show window from the call's screen share. Presenting straight into a call, without sharing a window, is planned for later.
Pen and laser marks are only on your screen for this show. They are not saved in the deck.
On a phone, open a deck and press Present: tap the right of the slide for the next step, the left to go back, with your notes underneath.
