Decisions

  • Fit-out waits on the switch order
  • Confirm the crew lead by Friday
  • Send the survey dates to the client

Written from the project channel. Same note, same rows.

Features · Inside a project

Everything the project refers to, in one place.

One grid of files, folders and galleries, tagged to the tasks and people they belong to. Beside it, notes: a freeform page for the decisions, links and running scratchpad that are not tasks, with checkboxes and a comments rail.

What it does

The library, and the page beside it.

A file that belongs to one task travels with it. Everything the whole project refers to lives here, organised by drag, and the notes are the project's wherever they were written.

01

One grid, not three sections

Folders and galleries are tiles in the same grid as files. Drag a file onto a folder to file it, an image onto a gallery to add it, or a file onto another file to make a folder holding both. Every drag has a menu path for keyboard and touch.

  • Quote A.pdfQuote B.pdfA folder holding both

Keyboard and touch get the same three through the tile's own menu.

02

Tagged to the work

Tag a file to tasks and people, then filter by them: everything relating to the migration, or everything one person owns, without duplicating the file.

2 of 3 files relate to the switch order. One file, tagged twice, still one file.

03

A file that belongs to one task travels with it

Attach files, folders or galleries to a task from the Files tab or from the task itself; a linked item wears a small task indicator.

04

Notes are the project's, wherever they were written

A note written from a project channel and one written on the Notes tab are the same rows, so nothing is copied across. Headings, bold, bullets and checkboxes, rendered from plain text that can never inject anything.

05

Autosaved, with a flush

Notes save on a debounce and flush when you switch tabs or close, with a saved indicator, so a long paragraph is never lost to a tab switch.

Crew lead is Sam if the dates hold.

Debounced, flushed on a tab switch. Same rows on the Notes tab and in the channel.

06

Comments on files and on notes

A file opens with its own comment thread, and a note carries a comments rail you can toggle.

Questions

The ones people ask first.

Is a file on the Files tab the same as a task attachment?
No, and the difference is the point. The Files tab is the project's shared library. A task attachment belongs to one piece of work and travels with it. You can link a library file to a task without duplicating it.
Where do notes written in chat go?
To the project. A note written from a project channel and one written on the Notes tab are the same rows, and the badge beside a note says which surface wrote it.

Give the project a shelf.

Every project opens with a Files tab. Add the Notes tab and the page beside it.
